Makrofol® is the brand name for our thermoplastic films made from the Bayer MaterialScience polycarbonate Makrolon®. Its particular strengths include high heat resistance, impressive toughness and elasticity over a wide temperature range, good stiffness and excellent electrical insulation properties. Makrofol® can be formed either hot or cold and enables top-quality printing with standard inks using screen or digital printing
Bayfol® is the brand name for our blend films made from the polycarbonate Makrolon® and other engineering thermoplastics such as ABS. The transparent, translucent and opaque blend films have similar strengths to Makrofol®, including high heat resistance, impressive stiffness, good electrical insulation properties and excellent printability. Depending on which thermoplastic is blended with the polycarbonate, benefits over Makrofol® can include better resistance to chemicals, greater elasticity and enhanced dynamic strength. Marnot™ are films with particularly scratch-resistant surfaces.
Marnot™ is based on the polycarbonate film Makrofol® DE and one side has an extremely scratch-resistant protective coating. Both gloss and dazzle-free, slightly matte coatings with different gloss levels are available. |
